The Biswas Educational Foundation (TBEF) is a registered public charitable trust with Trust Deed no. 2401 on 28th April, 2008 . TBEF is a non-religious, non-political, non-profitable volunteer driven organization. At The Biswas Educational Foundation we operate a Home for residential accommodation of deprived and single-parent children belonging to the underprivileged section of the society . Children are inducted from age 6+ & stay with us till they reach 18.
Our mission is to support the well-being of those in need, including the disadvantaged, destitute, impoverished or single parent children from the less fortunate parts of our community.
We provide Nutritious Food, Accommodation & quality Education to the children while ensuring they grow up in a family like atmosphere under the care & guidance of House Mother. The children are trained in Sports & Extra Curricular activities like Singing, Arts & Crafts & Dancing. Many of our children have won accolades in Athletics competitions at District, State & National level competitions. It is our endeavor to provide a platform and opportunity for the talented children to realize their true potential.
We also run a English Medium School called The South Calcutta Public School to empower local Children with the Power of Education. Many of our students are First Time Learners in their families.
