Area of work / Domain: Disability rights, Women empowerment, Health and Rehabilitation, Economic Empowerment, Community Mobilization and inclusion education. Program identified to be implemented in Goonjan: Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Access, Inclusion, and Livelihood Support.
To promote the rights, dignity, and social inclusion of persons with disabilities through awareness, education, and advocacy.
To identify and support persons with disabilities in underserved and remote areas through outreach, screening, and referral services.
To provide access to essential aids, appliances, and assistive devices that enhance mobility, communication, and daily functioning.
To deliver home-based counselling, therapeutic support, and community rehabilitation for persons with physical, sensory, intellectual, or multiple disabilities.
To build capacities of families, caregivers, educators, and community stakeholders through training and engagement.
To facilitate inclusive education by working with schools, teachers, and parents to mainstream children with disabilities.
To offer skill development and livelihood opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities, promoting independence and self-reliance.
To strengthen linkages with government schemes and entitlements such as UDID, disability pension, scholarships, and health benefits.
To reduce stigma and discrimination through community sensitization and rights-based awareness campaigns.
To promote community-based rehabilitation (CBR) models that are locally driven, sustainable, and scalable.
